For people who don't understand what is to love about coding they are missing out on something special. When you are programming in c++, Perl, C#, Java or anything you are working on you are creating something that comes from your heart and mind. You are taking a piece of you, like a book to an author and putting into a visual perspective for others to admire or utilize.
I have had people tell me to get a real job in the past and say that I don't do any "work". I think it to be true that without people like me they would find their work to be much harder. If not for people to set up the programs their companies rely on day after day to due from simple to difficult tasks they would have much more work to do.
If it wasn't for people like us the bowling alley would still have people standing back there setting up your pins. That would probably result in many more alleys being closed down because of staffing costs. There are a number of ways for people to look at what they are doing and see us there but they probably would never understand what it means to dream in code.
I had someone tell me the other day that I probably wasn't as smart as my uncle who is an accountant but I guess I would have to disagree. I believe in myself and I think that he is just a normal accountant running a business not doing much that is unique. Although I feel he is very smart and has done an amazing job in life I could not agree that I am not capable of doing the same thing. I just couldn't settle for that lifestyle although it may appear to be a better and safer route I see myself doing other things.
